I would expect quite a dust problem using these in the field.

Also there would be a greater risk of flare I guess.

Mechanical beauty. A modern plastic zoom might look a bit different than tri-elmar.

Sadly we can't saw-in women the same way to see how their inner workings are  :-)

Boris, some things are best left to the imagination or even not imagined at all; just enjoy the package and don´t enquire too closely.

I thought you meant the other way. Some LF lenses can be used as aeither or both of the front and back groups. Perhaps something that might catch on dslr users?
