Shooting Tethered

I am shooting tethered with a Canon 5D into Aperture. It works wonderfully well except it writes files to only my laptop. Is there a way to write to the card as well?
If I use the Canon software it will do so, but I really do not like the workaround to get that system working.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can, even though it would be an interesting feature to have.
So keep on using your gaffer tape for preventing the cable to unplug unexpectedly from the camera
