ICC profile for CIE-XYZ colour space?
« on: April 09, 2008, 11:56:52 am »

Does any one know if and where it is possible to obtain an ICC profile describing the CIE-XYZ colour space?

I need it simply to load into a profile viewer as a means to help students of an introductory course I teach visualize the relative size of this vs other color spaces.  I know I could use any number of 2D diagrams available, but the profile viewer is 3D and I think provides a more complete view of the extent of each space... as well as driving home the point that a color space is a three dimensional construct.  Plus, it's just cool to look at.

thanks.

Hmm - wouldn’t this correspond to a matrix space with CIE xy primaries of 1/0, 0/1 and 0/0,
which can be created via Photoshop’s Custom profile function (for some reasons integer value are not allowed):

Red: x= 0,9999, y= 0.0001
Green: x= 0.0001, y= 0.9999
Blue: x= 0.0001, y= 0.0001
