Hyperfocal distance for H1 50mm
« on: June 15, 2005, 12:57:20 pm »

Depends on the f stop and your tolerance for blur (ie the circle of confusion).

Here's a link
to help you out.

Assuming the H1 sensor is 36.9 x 47mm and you're ok with a circle of confusion in 35mm terms of .030mm (may be some controversy here) then that roughly translates into a COC of .040 (.042, assumed "multlipler" of .72) which, for 80mm gives:

f2.8 = 186'
f8 = 66'
f22 = 23'

(roughly)

How can I set my H1/80mm lens at its hyperfocal distance?  Thanks
