They're both nice, particularly the composition. I find the colors of the one on the right more compelling.

I'd suggest toning down the green in the image on the left. In forty years of wandering around the woods I've never seen anywhere that uniform in colour...

Nice composition.
I agree with toning down the over-saturated green.
The bark in the other image feels a little red to me.
I'm sure you will return to this place again.

I think this duo is marvelous. The bittersweetness of Fall is heightened by the presence of Spring (or Summer). I love it.
Getting an emotion out of a photo is what it's all about.
