!20 Glass carrier for Nikon Coolscan 9000

I am about to buy a Nokon Super Coolscan 9000 qand the additional glass carrier for 120.

My question is this..

I also have a number of 35mm slides in Gepe glass mounts.  Can I take them out of the Gepe glass  mounts and place a number of them in the Nikon 120 glass carrier and scan them that way?  Has anyone tried this?
