From a few hours ago. Rollei 6008AF, Sinar e54LV, first shot is 80mm f2.8 PQS lens at f4, others are 150mm PQS at f5.6, f8.

I am normally a lurker here. Thanks guys for all the valuable information and nice images in this forum. Last week, I made some nice images during a workshop in Toscana (Italy) with my H1 with 16Mpx Kodak 645 back (yes! some "poor" guys still using it!). Mostly done with the 80mm+1.7x at maximum aperture.

The complete slideshow "Visions of Women" is at http://www.fotoclublugano.com/~ivo/portfolio/tff08 but is a mix with Nikon D2x images. Happy viewing.

I have been thinking of doing a Tuscan workshop, too. Which one was it? Abitavo a Firenze tanti anni fa....

The one I went to was www.toscanafotofestival.com (TFF). There is another workshop more famous in Toscana the TPW (www.tpw.it) but also much more expensive. I took a class with Gabriele Rigon. Firenze e vicino!

In my eyes, at least in the commercial realm, all of our future successes depends on either your own abilities with post, or your ability to team up with a fine retoucher. that is what will set you apart -- not your choice of camera. Everyone here obsessed with megapixels, or 35 vs MF, and when you see an arresting picture like this, do you think -- "wonder how many megapixels that camera was?" Not a chance in hell. It's about defining a look, and not having the images looked like they just popped out of the camera, untouched. Because, honestly, every one of us who is shooting digital is basically shooting the exact same camera. Digital is digital; in the big picture, all identical, when it pops out of the camera. Untouched, not an ounce of difference -- Hasselblad, Sinar, Phase, Canon, Nikon, whatever. I still insist that the tens of thousands of dollars of difference invested between 35 and MF would be much better spent, searching for a month-long excellent retouching class. You want to change your images? Change your post technique.

Aptus 22/h2/50mm@5,6 & 1/250th with Profoto packs and heads. All with Magnum reflectors straight on , one umbrella fill and two lights for the background and side back light.

Thanks, agree to a certain extent. Light is certainly more important than which sensor you're using (but it should and needs to serve the purpose of enabling you to work successfully - software, buffer, ISO, etc.) , and having a bit of an idea involved in the shot is also something that I think is very important.

When I think fashion I think Tim Walker. Brilliant ideas, brilliant light, brilliant setting. What he shot it with is probably irrelevant. It worked because he made it work.
