CF card prices stabilizing?

haven't bought any for about a year, so haven't been paying attention, but a quick search looks like the prices are not dropping as fast - is this right?

Looking at some trend graphs from pricescan.com, I think you're right.  I would not be surprised if this is connected with extra demand for flash ram for solid-state drives.  If that's the case, then the current leveling would probably represent a manufacturing shortage, but the extra pressure from SSD would in the longer term press the tech into making bigger cards for less again.  Alternative explanation is that most peoples storage requirements are met by the currently available sizes, in which case we would be seeing slow evolution of price & size from now on.

There are some excellent 16 GB cards on for cheapish at Mydigitaldiscount. Every time I get a new cam I grab a wack of cards from there.
