Judging from the camera to print comments there is such a thing as too high a ppi (>480)
what do you do then?downrez?
if yes what is the point of having a high megapixel camera?what do you do with 39mp?
also, when I return my properly sharpened and sized pics from photoshop to lightroom how do I get lightroom not to slightly resize the pics before printing and print exactly the size imported from lightroom?i.e. is there a way to print exactly what is imported and not the size that is in one of the templates?

Really, there IS no point in a 39 mp back unless you want to make very large prints - 20 by 24 and larger. I have a 1DS MK II and a Phase One P45+. It is very hard to tell the difference in resolution on prints up to 16 by 20. (Note - I say resolution, not dynamic range or tonality, where differences are visible depending on the subject.)
To answer your first question - yes, down-rez for smaller files, I use PS bicubic sharper usually.I generally print at 300 ppi.
