Discontinued cameras, equipment
« on: October 24, 2007, 03:07:25 am »

What do mfgs and retail stores do with camera models and other equipment that is discontinued and superceded by the latest model(s)? I'm wondering whether it may be possible to get a good deal on a new Nikon D-200 in the near future. I've seen some discounting, but not a whole lot on such items in the past. I would imagine that mfgs would discourage much discounting of discontinued models. I never see much advertising for such items and have found that some retailers seem to pass on info by word of mouth. Any suggestions on where to look?

Thanks,
PSA
