Hasselblad HC 80mm with 1.7x experience??
« on: October 13, 2007, 07:18:43 am »

I was wondering if anybody had any experience using the 80mm Hc with the 1.7x converter.
If so has there been any difficulties? How does it compare quality wise to the longer focal lenghts 120mm macro or 150mm. Any feed back would be appreciated.

You better off posting in the MF board

I use that combo

Ther is a loss of speed but otherwise I think it is absolutely fine

the 1.7 converter is not a toy

I also use it with the extension tubes

I have had no desire to purchase any other lenses longer than 80

the 100 doesnt focus much closer (my main gripe with the 80)

and the others are not much faster than the 80 with the converter

I have used the 1.7x with the 100mm and 210mm.  I use it with the aptus 65 back.  I had compared the 100mm+1.7x with the 150mm and found them to be optically equivalent.  I can try it with the 80mm and report back.
