ACRx Tool Defaults on open
« on: September 22, 2007, 11:40:33 am »

Does anyone know if it is possible (on PC through registry settings or whatever) to choose a different default tool when opening Adobe Camera RAW? At the moment when I open ACR the default tool is 'zoom' which I never use. It would be far more useful if this could be set to 'grab-a-hand' or 'colour temperature picker' as an alternate default which, IMHO, are more useful to my workflow.

Thanks to anyone who knows.

As soon as I double-click an image to open it in ACR I press the H key. It's as close as I can get.

Thanks for that Jeff - thought it would be the case.

Another query would be can the zoom selector be moved from the bottom strip up to the top with the other tools. It's a pain to have to go down to adjust the zoom and then up to select other tools. I always thought the bottom bar was for status information and the top bar was for controls. So the zoom at the bottom, whilst historical, doesn't really fit the pattern.
