Really Right Stuff BH-55 Drag Knob miscalibrated?
« on: July 13, 2007, 09:31:24 pm »

I just bought an RRS BH-55LR.  After playing with the drag knob, I realized that the numbers listed on the knob don't really seem to have any sense of order.  The loosest setting is "2" and when rotated one full turn, ends up with "2" as well.  This seems a bit odd to me as I would think it should start with "0" and end in "9" or something.  Just wondering if anyone else has this with their BH-55 as well.  Thanks

I don't think it's intended to be "calibrated."  I think they're just more or less random numbers to be an aid to memory for setting up a particular rig — if your memory's that good.  ;-)
