Hi,
Of late my EF 50mm f/1.4 won't focus closer than about three meters in AF or manual. It's fine farther than that. I don't believe there was any particular event that would cause this problem - it hasn't been dropped or knocked. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is this a typical failure?

Edit: On searching the archives I see that others have had the same issue, some more than once. Well, the lens is off to Canon for repair and hopefully it will come back good as new.
