Catalogue max size

Hi

Hope this hasn't been asked and answered already, but I've looked and can't see it.
 I'm thinking of buying Lightroom and moving all my digital images over to it from Iview. They are a mixture of jpeg and Nef and CR2. If I then make one catalogue with all my images (Keyworded-so that I can find them) what is the maximum that catalogue can be? either in the amount of images or Mb. Is there a limit, or is it limited solely to what your PC can handle.

I think it was mentioned in the Video tutorial by Michael Reichmann, that there is no known limit to the number of pictures in the LR Library. Although he stated that performance mainly depends on your computer hardware.
