Sluggish performance in the library
« on: May 25, 2007, 06:53:25 pm »

I'm having a real problem selecting images for keywording in the library.  I'll control-click on several images.  However, by the time LR gets around to processing the clicks, the mouse cursor is now on other images and selects them instead.  Or, for example, I might click on image A, then B, and finally C.  Image A gets selected, but then the last two clicks get processed when the cursor is over image C, so C gets selected and then deselected.

Scrolling is a similar headache. Pull the scrollbar and not only does LR take a couple of seconds to get there, but then there are several seconds while it catches up with generating thumbnails.

Is there any option that makes LR generate and keep the thumbnails?  Even for just that session.  Keywording the images from a wedding last weekend is turning into a hideous experience.

My system isn't a sluggard (dual core 2.7, 3gb), I can't believe how LR is bogging down.
