Register Settings on Canon Rebel XTi

Does anybody know if its possible to "register" a group of custom settings on a Canon XTi?  and, of course, if it can be done, how?  I kind of think its not there but want to close out the possibilities before I move on.  Thanks if anbody knows for sure.
