APS vs native driver for Z3100
« on: March 02, 2007, 09:18:51 pm »

I've asked this question before, but no one has responded.  If those of you who purchased the APS could comment, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't need the CMYK options in the APS.  I'd only make the investment for standard 'RGB' prints from the Z3100.

Is the Gretag software or driver in the APS superior to the Gretag software or driver included with the printer?  Or does the fact that APS uses twice as many patches for profiling make a difference?  (Some posts have suggested the answer on the patches is no -- it does not make a noticeable difference.)

Bottom line -- after investing $1000 in the APS, did those of you purchased that option see a noticeable improvment in prints as compared with the native driver and software included with the Z3100?

If so, what type of an improvement?

Thanks in advance for any responses.
