PSD/DNG name conflict during LR import (no errors)

Has anyone else had a problem importing psd files when dng files with the same name (different extension obviously) exist in the same folder?

I tried to import a folder with both dng and psd files.  I didn't rename the psd files when I was saving them so they have the same name as the dng.

When I import all the images in the folder, none of the psd's show up.  If I rename the psd so there is no "conflict" it imports with no problems.

Any work arounds besides renaming all my psd's?

files with the same name and different extensions are treated as sidecar files and ignored by the library. The main way people first notice it is with RAW+JPG imports.
If you import the DNG's and then import the PSD's into another folder, they both come in. From there you can move the PSD's into the same folder as the DNG. The issue seems to be a design issue on import. Yes, Adobe have designed it this way.

That's really a strange decision by Adobe.  I can see ignoring files that MIGHT be sidecars from another program, but image files that are explicitly supported should all be brought in.  Especially for people that shoot Raw+jpeg.

Agreed Tommy. It was like this in the Betas also.

Even after you get the 2 files in the one folder, they are still treated as sidecars. LR will rename both if you rename one of them.
