Shutter Questions
« on: February 25, 2007, 01:52:35 pm »

First off hello there

I recently purchased a Canon 350D and had a few questions about the shutter that I can't seem to find online.

1.) I see people discussing how many cycles their camera already has under its life.  Is there a setting or menu function that tells me this information?

2.) Can dust collect on the sensor without the lense being changed?  (Like let's say I rarely ever change my lense.  Will it stll collect debris?)

Regards,

You can tell how many cycles your shutter has made by looking at file numbering. Set this to continous to show the consecutive numbering of images.

Dust might get on the sensor in time, but not as much as with changing lenses.
