I can shed some light on both the 10 and 20D shutters.
I look after an office that uses digital cameras for documenting there work, there is nine people using these cameras, we have two going at all times.
Okay the 10D I noticed after 18 months of use problems began and I sent the problem camera to Canon for cleaning and repairs.
Each 10D was making 320 to 350 images per day four days per week for 50 weeks.
That’s about 64,000 shutter cycles before service when they returned I had the cameras replaced with the 20D.
We shot the same 320 to 350 per day with the 20D’s and after 80 weeks some problems started to I replaced the cameras with the 30D
Lets see that would be about 102,400 shutter cycles on the 20D’s
