Canon 1D MARK II + 580EX off camera high sync?
« on: February 07, 2007, 11:22:35 pm »

Hi guys,

I am using a Canon 1D MARK II + 580EX off camera using sync cords.

Now i have been shooting successfully in hi sync mode at 1000th sec etc with flash on camera, but it will not work with anything over 400th sec if connected via sync cords???

Am i doing something wrong or is it just not going to work?

Also would the canon off shoe cord 2 solve my issues???

any help would be great!!!!

I would recommend asking this over at the strobists flickr group.  They're all about off camera strobes.

It will definitely work with the Off Shoe Cord 2, and I'm pretty sure it will also work with the ST-E2 wireless trigger.  It will not work with PC cords or Pocket Wizards or the like.
