I've been using P45 with both H2 (55-110mm) and Arca Swiss + Schneider Digitar lenses (35, 47, 90, 210mm) since last June. I've always used C1 as the Raw Converter and have not seen a single centerfold. I downloaded LR beta 4 after Michael confirmed that it supports P25 and P45 'unofficially.'
I was comparing the ease of use and the image quality between LR and C1. I was favorably impressed with LR's RAW conversion capability and decided to pre order the copy. I imported a couple thousand images into LR this morning, and I noticed many images have 'centerfold,' while I was working on asset management.
I have not done any scientific analysis of these instances yet, but I see them with both H2 and Arca, with both wide and medium angles, and with both wide and narrow aperture settings.
Clearly, Phase One is utilizing its factory calibration data of individual image sensor to eliminate 'centerfold' within C1 program. I am not alarmed at all since I don't see anything when I use C1.
I was almost committed to use LR as my default Raw Converter until I saw this problem. I guess I am stuck with C1 for a bit longer.
Did anyone else encounter similar situations?
