Lightcraft, Photocraft

[dreed]

The era of AI has brought us new challenges in digital photography, with the latest being Adobe's suite reverse engineered using AI and provided anew:

Lightcraft, a reimagined version of Lightroom:

And the big hitter, Photocraft:

Are they as good as the originals? Well this is version "0.5.0", so download and give it a go - for free.

If they can understand the .xml files that contain saved metadata from Lightroom, that'll definitely be a plus.

What will they be missing? All of the Adobe proprietary data such as Camera/lens profiles, AI data blobs. Which makes the installers very interesting. 50MB for Lightcraft, 53MB for Photocraft.

Yes, very interesting. They're early alpha versions, but already showing their potential.

And they are also bringing alternatives for the Microsoft suite of programs.

Is this the beginning of the end for subscription based suites?

Cheers,
