Nesting prints app - Beta Testers Wanted
« on: August 26, 2026, 01:49:07 am »

I've been frustrated over the years with the options for nesting prints on rolls to maximize paper and have useful cut marks.

An app called ImageNest was the closest to what I needed but it was discontinued years ago and the remaining options without go for an expensive RIP are not great in my option.

I finally developed my own app for use in my studio and am now making it available commercially and looking for 15-20 beta testers.

The app is mac native and here is a list of the main features:

Automatic and manual nesting of files to maximize paper usage
Several styles of adjustable cut marks, including a full perimeter line for easy trimming
Easy to use Drag and Drop UI
Roll or sheet
Resizing to preset and custom sizes
Crop, stretch to fit, or native
Export to pdf, tiff, jpg
Status bar with paper used and waste percentage
Saveable nest files
Open multiple jobs at once
Toggle between inches or Metric
Show file info, paper usage, and waste percentage

You'd get a free permanent license in exchange for running it on real hardware, giving honest feedback, and flagging anything that doesn't work right.

I run a Canon Imageprograf 4600 44" and am hoping to get a range of different machines and sizes tested.

What I need from testers:

A large format roll printer (Canon, Epson, or HP)
macOS 13 or later
Willingness to run a few real print jobs through it and report back

If you're interested, DM me or write mark at nestprint.app with your printer model and OS version. I'll send the download and license code directly.

thank you!
Mark
