Picos de Europa
« on: July 11, 2026, 11:52:20 am »

One of the wonderful things that happened on our Northern Spain holiday was an unexpected cold snap that brought snow to the nearby Picos de Europa mountains. Ken

Fantastic photos. Snow really adds a dramatic look.
Well done, Ken.

By the way, did you get there on a bicycle trip?

Hi François. Unfortunately my days of long distance cycle touring are gone, old man’s knees. I still cycle 25km on most days but locally and on an e-bike. Ken

Sorry to hear about that, Ken. Anyway, your photos are still a pleasure to look at.

I was going to walk back down from the top of the cable car at Fuente De, it is only 8 miles/ 13km but with snow and ice for most of it and a forecast of an ever lowering cloud base I decided to act my age and just enjoy the cable car back down. Ken
