Mac 27 inch monitor....XDR with Aobe RGB Capability or 27 inch without Adobe RGB

Has anyone recently faced the decision to buy either the Apple XDR monitor with Adobe RGB capability or the Apple 27 inch without Adobe RGB capability?

My Apple store only had the XDR version, but unfortunately, did not have any way to display and/or compare the normal capabilities of this monitor with the Adobe RGB color space.

So there was no way for me to know if I could really tell between sRGB and Adobe RGB on the monitor.

Has anyone seen the XDR display and Adobe RGB file and were you impressed?

There's a very big difference in the price, and I don't want to pay for something that won't be useful to me.

I did see that the difference in the cost for Apple care for the lower priced 27 inch monitor was GREATLY less money than cost for Apple care for the XDR.  That lead me to believe that maybe the XDR is not as reliable as the lower priced 27 inch.  Or, I could be totally wrong.

Can anyone share their experience on this topic?

P3 not Adobe RGB (1998). Close, but not the same, and yes, visibly see a difference in wide-gamut colors outside sRGB.

Both appear to be wide gamut screens with both supporting P3-D65. IMO, the main difference is the use of mini LEDs used in the XDR in addition to having a mode that maps to Adobe RGB 1998. It seems to be supporting video creatives as well as photographers and graphic designers.

The wikipedia article has a nice plot showing the approximate differences in the color spaces to give you a rough idea of the difference. sRGB is not really in play for either version of the Studio Display as a key difference. Only the slight difference between P3 and Adobe RGB 1998.

One of the main differences is that XDR is an HDR display; just look at the nits difference between the two. That's a big difference in what you pay for.
