HPZ3200 Ink Cartidge compatibility

I know that the HP70 AND 772 cartridges are compatible. Are there any other series that would work?

Unfortunately, no.

These are the specific part numbers that are compatible with the Z3200. There are no other OEM carts that'll work.

I switched to 3rd party inks some time ago. Before I get piled on by the hive-mind: I know the risks and faults inherent in this method, but it works for my needs. If my intention was to make archival prints, I'd stick with OEM pigment. In terms of color, I perceive no difference.

Thank you. That is what I thought but in case someone knew something that I did not know...
Fortunately it seems that there is still quite a number of OEM cartridges floating around also for reasonable prices.
What 3rd party inks are you using?

You're right-- eBay is a great source of OEM inks, and neither I nor a pro photographer who owns an HP certified repair center I've talked to have ever had any problem with expired ink carts or printheads. I've used 11 year old printheads and they're fine.  I buy inks from macroenter.com, usually. Sometimes they can't source every color, in which case I go to InkOwl.com which seem equally good, but more expensive. Macroenter's customer service is exceptional, and I don't have to purge new printheads since their inks are exactly the same color as OEM. I use a couple of gallons of ink annually, and my margin would be far narrower if I stuck to OEM inks.

The printers themselves operate exactly the same with aftermarket ink. The only unknowns are their acidity and longevity. All I can say is I haven't noticed any fading in prints I've had for eight or ten years.

I have considerable experience converting to 3rd party inks, so feel free to hit me up for advise should you decide to go that route. I made a ton of mistakes and spent far too much money figuring it out, but I now have a system that's worked flawlessly for several years.

Thank you for your input and generous off to help as needed. I do sell some prints in a gallery sometimes so having them be archival is important and the HP Vivera inks are very good in that respect. I have 3 HPZ3200s, two here in Switzerland and one in the US (eastern ma). I have gotten pretty good at keeping them going. I just purchased here in Switzerland 5 new and sealed cartridges and 2 head for $350 which I find very reasonable, especially compared to ink costs for my Epson P900. I don't even bother to look at the expiration dates before buying anymore.
