Evening All,
Just getting back into LR after a couple of months off. I was editing several folders of images when I discovered an issue.
I am using the latest version of LR Classic. I have the latest video drivers. Win 11 Pro is up to date. I have attached screenshots showing the issue.
As part of my workflow, I shoot CR2 then convert to DNG on import. I apply the Custom profile I created and then import.
The profile is called 5D Mk2 Dual Illuminant. When I finish editing I update DNG previews and Metadata on all images in the folder. My understanding is that this embeds the profile into the DNG itself so if the file is sent to someone else, they too have the camera profile that I selected instead of a generic profile.
In the attachments the 2nd image shows a different image where the profile exists and is embedded.
The 3rd image shows the Missing Profile message.
So, several questions, I have images in different shoots and folders where this profile exists and I do not get the missing profile message. Can I extract that back onto the computer?
I am not sure I have the shoot that created that profile.
Is there a utility like Jeffreys etc that can highlight which of my images have this missing profile message? Ideally, it should also be able to search my catalog for each image and the name of the profile and the camera it was shot by.
I inadvertantly applied a new profile I created for this specific folder to the catalog as I had unknowingly selected All images instead of a specific folder. I used Ctrl Z to roll changes back but want to check this is all correct again.
I am more rusty from this several months off than I realised.
