Canon Pro 4100 - Dropping Ink

Hi,

This is the first time this has happened…(see attachments)

I did a “Print Head Cleaning” and then it printed perfectly again - is that all that is necessary or did I get lucky?

If so, what else do you recommend?

Had that on an old 8300 - inkcicles hanging from a bit of dirt on the printhead. I don't know whether you can get the print heads out from capping station (cutter change?) and have a look for crud on the bottom, or around the print head?

Thanks Richard, I did find quite a lot of ink at the “head dock”…I cleaned that too and have had no further problems…fingers crossed!
