As I was walking towards a bridge over the river, to take a shot of the sunset reflecting in the water, I noticed a pelican in the distance. Close to the pelican there appeared to be some people, but I wasn't sure because the light was getting dim.
Fortunately, I was carrying my Nikkor Z 28-400 zoom lens attached to my Z50, so I zoomed out to see if there actually were people near the pelican. The attached photo is the result.
The camera and lens settings were F8, 1/40th, ISO1600 and 400mm. The lighting was poor and reducing the noise has reduced the resolution, but it's still good enough to see the sunset shot on the guy's iPhone. What do you think?
I'm rather pleased with my Nikkor Z 28-400mm. If I'd been able to use a wider aperture because of the poor lighting, both the pelican and the people could not have been acceptably sharp, so F8 has its advantages.
