How the mighty have fallen
« on: May 12, 2025, 12:56:57 pm »

The reviews & stories on this website used to be about cutting edge equipment, the latest and greatest. New high megapixel things from Phase One, Canon, Sony, etc. All fascinating reading for those of us that will never be able to afford such.

Today's front page story is about the Canon RF 75-300, a re remake of one of the EF75-300 (when you look at the optical design) that is one of the worst such lenses ever.

What a fall from grace for a website to feel that it is appropriate to write about such an optically poor lens.

If you write an article about this lens, then I know another 500 lenses to write about.
Don't understand the why...
I just had the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.2 at work and it would be more interesting to read about that. ( ...I find)
Or the 135mmm Plena Lens that is an optical gem.
( obviously I am into Nikon)
