Lightroom and LR Classic Disappeared from my Apps Folder
« on: March 26, 2025, 02:58:24 pm »

Lightroom and Lightroom Classic recently stopped appearing in my apps folder, but they still show in the dock and in Launchpad, and I can open them for there. Photoshop, Bridge, and the Creative Cloud app still appear in my apps folder. This is with the current Mac OS, if that matters. I haven't noticed any other apps missing from this folder. Is this some sort of recent bug?

Can you launch the apps from the dock? Control-click on the dock Icon, try the Options>Show in the Finder menu, and find where they are.

Oh, duh. They are still there. The Lightroom folders just have the generic folder icon, whereas the Photoshop, Bridge, and Creative Cloud folders have app-specific icons. Don't know why that caused me to miss them or why the different icons.

Folders are not generic on this end. You may need to reboot or do maintenance like clearing the icon cache.
