Recommendations on movie to digital service?

I have my parents 61 year old 8mm wedding and childhood movies my mother just gave me. My dad has been gone a few years. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable, GOOD film to digital transfer service? I'm concerned more about quality, safety and having these preserved than just the price.  Any help is appreciated.

If you have a projector available you could consider doing it yourself. Pointing a camera at a projected image can give a surprisingly good transfer.

In fact there are some "professional" services do no more than this. A few I've heard of I wouldn't trust any treasured film to at all.
