Hi folks, I’m hoping that the hive brain can shed some light on this:

I’m printing something like 60 work prints for editing, two horizontal images on letter size sheets cut off a roll which I then halve on the Rototrim. Having printed more than three-quarters of the images with no problem the printer suddenly spits out two images on the sheet that are somehow in smaller template frames, cropped; the image size is still correct just the frames on the page are smaller.

I’ve made no changes, am going through the same rote process of soft proof in Dev module, switch to Print module, load a sheet in the top feed, send the job to print and daydream while it spools. This has been such a consistent process I’m not even looking at the lit print bay (wish I had to cancel the job).

I’d had the page orientation horizontal just so that the images on the page were larger on the screen, I rotated it to vertical on a take two and it just printed fine. And this after 25 or more sheets of doing the same thing! Gremlins? What could have changed that template frame size without giving an indication of the change in the Print module. I’ve always expected that was what-you-see is what-you-get visualization. There are rulers after all!

Any insight would be appreciated, I hate wasting paper and ink! Thanks so much!
