Monitor issue with new Mac Mini4 Pro
« on: November 26, 2024, 08:10:54 am »

I own an Eizo CG277, about ten years old, love it, works fine. Just hooked it up to my new iMac Mini Pro, and it's telling me that the max resolution is 1920 x 1080, but, its native resolution is 2560 x 1440. HDMI hookup. What happened, and does this really matter for Photoshop?

Try a thunderbolt to displayport adapter; i think it is a better connection than hdmi.
And maybe the HDMI-cable is not for higher resolution than HD.

Yup. Worked. Thank you, and Thank You Amazon, and no thank you to Apple conversions and prices. What a waste. OWC is helping a lot too.

I have Thunderbolt five in this thing, which is still being adapted to by third parties. Jeez.
