Testing Lexjet Instant Dry Satin canvas with less than desireable results.

Historically we use Lexjets Fredrix Matte canvas for everything with two coats of Sunset satin coating, sprayed.
Have a new client in Ca. that will need regular canvas but the turn time from Pa. is an issue so I am testing Lexjets instant dry satin canvas advertised to not require a topcoat.
That would take at least two days off the ship time but creates issues as I have not tested it thoroughly yet.
Using my new Canon Pro-4600 for this work and am wondering if it is using the proper Pk ink which is a must.
My fold test shows ink cracking, my stretching test shows cracking and my moisture tests rubs the ink off.
With those results you would think it enough to give a thumbs down. At over $3.00 a sq. ft. I cannot imagine it being that bad.
I have the proper icc profile from Lexjjet as well as the paper media profile .am1x added with Canons Media Configuration.
Is it possible that the Canon is printing with mk instead of pk? That would answer most of the issues we are having with it.
Anyone using with good results?

Any particular reason you're not using the 80600 for this customer?

It is your referral from Ca. And he did not care for the solvent. So am trying to find something that will shorten the ship time. Takes 5 to 7 days total if we spray. Sending it by air is one answer but for bigger rolls it is costly.

Dan,

The media profile should take care of which black ink is used. Did you check in the MCT (Media Configuration Tool) software for that particular media profile? I don't have a Canon printer, but I know that you can see all the details of a certain media profile in the MCT.
Also when you got the am1x file, did you update the printer and your computer with it? That is a function that is part of the MCT. If you have done that, you can e.g. see the Media Profile on the screen of your printer.

And I would give Lexjet a call for sure.

Have you tried Breathing Color's 17M satin canvas which also doesn't require a coating? I've used it for a while on my Canon 6400 and as long as the room temperature is over 60 degrees F I don't have any of the problems you mentioned, except if I over stretch it the edges will crack. It's also $1.78/sq'

Also what spray are you using that takes two days to dry? I use Eco Print Shield in two or three light coats and am done in less than an hour as it dries in 15 minutes/coat.

Using sunset satin from Lexjet, believe it is from Marabu.
It dries to the touch but that is not dry to ship. We only heat our big shop to 60 and that is part of the issue. Summertime still takes a good 24 hours or a little more to dry properly.
Spraying 2 light coats we have found to dry better.
Lexjet took the remainder of the instant dry satin canvas back, no good for us.
I finally got a suburb profile for my Onyx rip for the s80 solvent and we are starting to push that for all medium and large canvas work.
The color match with the pigments is spot on. The Fredrix satin SUV solvent canvas has a pretty tough finish unvarnished.
The Canon is not getting much work, looks like it is going to be relegated as a backup.
