I had to see my oral surgeon today and that means driving to a neighboring town. Between my house and that town is the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. My appointment gave me an excuse to go spend the night there and get some photos.
The first is a relief for me, I finally got a shot of the comet. I didn't even realize I got it before that cloud hid it but I was happy to see it there when editing these today. Not exactly how I planned the shot but it will have to do for now!
I've photographed this tree before but I just can't help myself. It's a great tree and
very old!
A lot of the leaves are done for the year but the scrub oak at these lower elevations is looking pretty nice.
