Sadly my OCD would have kicked in and I would have missed the shot.
;-)
If that chair had moved by itself, what with black cats on the lap etc., I'd have been toast. Oh the deadly excitement of the unexpected!
I realise, now and again, that though I have reading glasses, I'm very reluctant to put them on when it comes to shooting snaps; it's bad enough removing the sunglasses and letting them dangle around my neck. I also realise that a cellphone wouldn't really be the instrument for action stuff, not any more than I would be the photographer for such, with any camera.
The Bay was like a mirror yesterday, with some people rowing little boats. It reminded me of Rouken Glen Park, which I used to walk twice a day exercising our dog, only there, the boats had eventually been removed courtesy H&Safety fears. Oy vey. What would those guys say about tiny rent-a-boats out in the open sea!
Anyway, I took a snap and sent it off to my daughter who, though she now lives in the city, used to enjoy that park with us as a child. I realised that the pic had missed the point: the boats were so small in the image as to make the comparison with boats in a lake impossible to grasp. Nope, a wide-called-a-normal isn't the answer to everything. That missing longer lens would have saved the day. ;-(
(Do you see how I'm trying to conserve my interest in still getting that goddam Mk 17 one day when the telephone company finally lets go of my balls?)
