In their collective, commercial wisdom, they are about to cancel all this and go woke:

I can't really understand the move. The "athletic" jaguar is so elegant…

It’s said that God moves in mysterious ways; perhaps these people think themselves up there, too. Suicidal. Maybe they can, instead, use one of those electricity warning signs that are stuck on the fences of distribution systems?

Perhaps, but as integral a part of the history of the marque as the prancing horse is of both Ferrari and Ford’s Mustang. Madness - or even politically correct delusions of some kind of imaginary - but oh so smug - “niceness”.

I hope it backfires and bites them (Jaguar) in the ass.

Thank you; the gales of the past two days are doing their best about the tourists, not that there are many now. The visitors’ quay at the yacht club is deserted too. The boat season used to run from April thru September, but global warming kept quite a few boats on until the end of October. Not a good sign. The worst tourists are the bike people: many disregard traffic regulations and make the country roads a nightmare. There are white lines on the borders of the roads, and bikes are meant to stay to the right of them. Many do, but when you get a bunch of them, they go two or even three abreast, making overtaking very dodgy. They bring in so much tourism money now that new traffic rules demand you overtake them by staying a metre-and-a-half away, which can take your car across the centre line and into oncoming traffic. The result: long tailbacks of angry cars.

There is room for everybody: following a few rules would keep the peace all round. Clearly, too much to ask.
