In the 30 sec ad strip for a game I play on my tablet, a new ad appeared today for a "magic eraser app" that would work on any photo.
What does it erase?
The demo is of the "eraser" being used on the clothes of a woman... specifically look at her from behind, removing top/shorts.
If deep fakes aren't enough, then what about this? Where does it end?
No need to take Donald Trump's head and put it on another body, just get this magic eraser out and apply liberally to the photos from when he is playing golf ... or to Melania ... or ... Elon Musk (because we all know its small...) ... if the 1st amendment knows no bounds, will decency be sacrificed on the alter of clicks?
Of course the guardians of all that is good & decent (Apple & Google) will take it upon themselves to stop such apps from being in "their" store, but once it gets out, it won't be stoppable.
