Hello everyone. Some of you may remember me from a few years back. I was the recipient of the Michael Reichman Grant in 2016. It allowed me to work for 12 weeks in Northern California, coastal Oregon and Washington. Since that time I've done extensive travel in North America, shown in a multitude of galleries and have taken in numerous awards.

I've been asked to be the kickoff speaker for the Mid-Atlantic Photo Visions Conference at the Performing Arts Center at George Mason University in Virginia. As luck would have it, I'll be in the Southwest, the Sierra and the Pacific Coast for three months this fall. Therefore my presentation will need to be delivered via Zoom. Unfortunately I will be in camping, OFF GRID, in an area near Escalante, Utah when I am scheduled to present.

I've learned that the fiber optic internet service is not the best in that area. I contacted Guy Tai, thinking that I might do my presentation from his home; unfortunately he'll be gone. I've been in touch with an upscale lodge in Boulder, Utah. They can't promise reliable internet. AND the cost of a room would take most of my profit.

So I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows of anyone who uses Starlink in that area. If so, I would like to park my small RV alongside their home and piggy-back off their internet. Or even do my presentation from their home (if they would be comfortable with that). I have lots of colleagues who will vouch for my character .... if that's of concern.

I can rearrange my whereabouts a bit, to other areas in southern Utah. But ideally I'd like to be near Escalante and Boulder.

Any help is MUCH .... VERY MUCH .... APPRECIATED.

you didn't leave an email address, just the website.
Your location is about as far from convenient civilization as you can get  ;) :D

Getting closer to the tourist areas (more demand and traffic) should help your search.
You may have to try Bryce Canyon City - Best Western  - see if they have a business center.
There also may be a hotel in Tropic with enough bandwidth.

What about pre-recording a presentation and just providing that to the meeting sponser  ?

Great idea, but they want a half hour for Q&A.

The lodge in Boulder has fiber cable. They are going to do a speed test for me.

If that doesn't work out, voice is much lower bandwidth than video. You might be able to handle the Q&A by cell phone, at least as backup, if nothing else.
