Rising water

It's that time of year for soggy fields and hopefully soon some iris. I went to check on the levels and growth last night. The iris crop looks to be doing well but no blossoms yet. The light and sunset were pretty nice too and worth for few photos while I was there. I used a 3 or 6 stop ND for these.

Why the ND filters?

It was a little bright for a slow shutter with light reflecting off that storm and I wanted less detail in the water. I took some without the filters too but the water looked too "crunchy". Mixing it up a bit for different looks.

Making me want to come up there now instead of August

Now is nice and the flowers are about to pop at 7-8k'. But access to higher altitude areas is tough with lots of snow up there still. August is nice too and there will still be something blooming up high if it doesn't get too hot and dry this summer.
