I really like the first one. It has a nice contrast of the sand colour, set against the deep blue of the sky.
Also very dynamic with the wind blowing so hard.
I also found myself shooting in conditions just like this, but at White sands NP, so yes I know of what you speak.
In fact I am still cleaning out all my lenses and camera body etc., some 6 months later. Cleaned them all out thoroughly four or five times now and still getting a lot of dust spots all over my shots - and yes, I have even used a vacuum cleaner as well
.
Even the little gold coloured metal connectors, that sit between the lens and body of the camera, keep needing a good clean with alcohol every now and then. As the white dust still hidden somewhere in the body, keeps forming a layer of carbonised gunk, that goes black on the little connectors and eventually stops conducting signals through to the lens. And I never changed the lens out in the field, or even on the car and only back at the hotel. But the dust particles were obviously everywhere in the atmosphere.
Still thoroughly enjoyed it though and yes I would definitely go back
