Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah wilderness area. Theoretically accessed from the Chaco Canyon but the road going north looked really sketchy so I went up north to 550 and used a road going south from there. Still a dirt road but not that bad; it was dry though, with rain I think it would be more challenging though.

Very nice set. These formations are always spectacular. I must find my photos from Chaco Canyon but don't seem to remember those hoodoos. Maybe I missed the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah wilderness area.
Anyway, bravo!

Particularly like the composition of NM-1 and NM-4 in the second set. Nicely done!

Thank you Francois and Ben!

Francois, that area looks close to the Chaco but the straight path between them didn't look that rental car friendly, or any regular car for that matter.

That's probably why I missed the spot. I only spent half a day in Cchaco, the weather was becoming bad and I didn't what to get stuck there with a rental (passenger car only, no SUV or better).
