Sonoma and Epson Surecolor 7000 not communicating
« on: February 07, 2024, 06:17:04 pm »

Hi there,

I upgraded my macbook pro to Sonoma and installed the driver update from Epson's website. I cannot seem to add it to the print list. I am using a usb cable through a hub that converts USB A to C and then the hub is connected to my laptop input. I rang the Epson tech department and we tried changing the physical cables and uninstalling the 1262 installer and reinstalling. Nothing seems to work. The technician said I should purchase a new cable and not go through a hub and if that doesn't work get a service person to come for $900. I am stuck. Can anyone advice me? I think it is more of a communication issue with the software upgrade.

I bought a USB-B to USB-C cable from Amazon (JSAUX 10-foot) and have had no issues running my SC-7000 from my M1 Mac.
