Not my usual style of photography I must admit and also, not normally a photographic style I would seek out to look at, being a Brit an all. Yet when I was there in the desert and looking at scenes like these, then it all started to make perfect sense to me. And what do you know, now I really like it - but unfortunately, there just aren't enough deserts with abandoned gold mines here in Scotland - like zero..
The first one with the old, leaning wooden gold mine struts, random wires, Joshua trees and dusty mountains in the distance etc., is the missus absolute favourite from the entire holiday. In fact she would like a copy of it hanging on our living room wall please. And you know what, I think I might too
