Licensing a photo for CNN
« on: January 23, 2024, 03:25:17 pm »

Hi All,
I just received a licensing request from a producer at CNN to use one or more shots of a lawyer that I'd taken last year. They'll be using the image(s?) for a story they're putting together on the Gardner Museum art heist back in 1990. I haven't the foggiest on what the fee structure normally is for that kind of thing. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Merrill

As for their offer. These things are often standardized and the producer has no personal incentive to screw you.
