Gunnison River sunrise

It looked promising this morning so I headed down to the river park to catch sunrise. Glad I made the effort!

Nice one Matt ;)

Isn't it great, when you make the effort to get up out of a warm bed, to go out into the biting cold and then it pays off. Most of the time it doesn't of course, but when it does, what a rush.

Magical morning. With such a light, one can have no regret to get out of the bed early!

I'm glad for those people who make the effort. If I'm up I'll go for it but I reached a stage where I just can't see myself waking up just for photos, only sunsets for me.

Thanks! It's addictive! But I try to pick my days wisely. Like you say sometimes it works out but most times it doesn't.

I love it when that happens!

I don't always make the effort but if I think it's looking good (from bed) that provides some motivation. Being close to the winter solstice helps too. I definitely see fewer midsummer sunrises!
