Zelle or Cash?
« on: December 06, 2023, 12:10:39 am »

When I sell equipment, I usually just take cash.

This is not a question about buying only selling:

I think only Zelle, no fee correct?  (Venmo, paypal etc all have a fee)

I have accepted Zelle, a few times for things in my biz, around  $400 to $1200.  It went fine. You get an email, that it's arrived...

And cash can be a nuisance for the buyer and me,  especially is you are selling an expensive item.  Coming up: I may  be selling an item for $3500

That's a lot of 100s to spay out.  I can handle it: but my question is:

Can accepting Zelle for that amount screw up? Or can you get screwed  ie. it not worth the risk and best to stay with just accepting cash?

(Imagine someone said they Zelled you  and there is some glitch, of some kind , and then they demand to take the item (scenario could never happen with  cash). Thanks.
